Currently Open to Freelance Opportunities
Hello, my name is Molly Kaiser!
I am a 2023 graduate of Kansas State University graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism and Mass Communications with a certificate of Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
Currently based in Great Bend, Kansas, I am open to and looking for freelance or full time opportunities within the Digital Marketing and Sports Photography fields.
My most recent position was with the Florida Gators where I was the Assistant Director of photography. Within this position, I was responsible for scheduling and covering all home events with the help of 20+ student volunteers. I was also able to see creative sets go from ideas to development to a final project. I have been able to use my creative skillset to elevate the studio shoots as well as in-game products of our 21 D1 teams working the closest with Football, Gymnastics, and Softball.
As well as covering all sports for the university, I headed the recruiting efforts that includes scheduling and running our state of the art Vū. Creating unique content that stands out from hundreds of other universities help sets the Gators apart in a fun and unique standpoint. The Vū also was used to shoot all media day video content, commercials, and our Coaches Show. This versatile environment has endless possibilities for creativity.
From July 2020- May 2023 I was employed by K-State Athletics handling game day coverage of all 12 sports offered at Kansas State University. While covering all sports, I had earned the opportunity to travel with the Football, Women's Basketball, and Baseball teams through the 2021-2023 seasons. I have been blessed to see my work featured in local as well as national publications.
For the 2022 season, I had the opportunity to work with the Minnesota Twins where I assisted in capturing content for all home games as well as promotional and marketing content. Learning in this professional environment has been one of the most instrumental learning experiences to me. I was able to grow as a photographer and learn what it takes to capture a professional team 1:1.
In the summer of 2021, I completed two internships, one with the Kansas City Monarchs, as well as the KC NWSL (now KC Current). In the 2022 season, I earned the opportunity to become the Minnesota Twins intern photographer where I learned what it really takes to make it in the big leagues.
I have 5+ years of experience with most Adobe applications, as well as photoshelter, opendorse, and greenfly.
I am working toward content creation for professional sports teams to create, grow and attract a following on social media platforms through visual elements. I like to not only portray the story of the game happening in front of me, but also subjects personality.
Hailing from a small town in the middle of Kansas, no one in a million years could have told me all the opportunities I have been able to take part in. I started taking photos when I was the ripe-old age of nine in 4-H. I continued my path through High school yearbook where I truly fell in love with sports photography. My senior year, the yearbook advisor pushed me to attend a conference that really changed my life. After that day, all I wanted to do was to become a professional sports photographer, and I am making a way for myself. I am very determined to make my dream come true by constantly learning and growing through my work, and myself.
